The Big Thankyou
Their Requirements
Through a third party agency, we were approached to organise and deliver 8 large scale fun day events across a single weekend. The 8 venues were to be located across the UK, to enable staff and their families access to a local venue and drive attendance levels. We had to plan for up to 2000 guests at each venue, which included catering, activities, marquees, toilets, waste disposal, health and safety, arena attractions, PA systems, presenters, roaming entertainers, parking, giveaways and more.
Our Involvement
This was an audacious attempt by the client to say a very personal thank you to their teams on an impressive scale.
Through our extensive on site experience, we recommended venues that would work particularly well with this style of event. Each had ample outdoor space and easy access from the main motorway and rail networks.
We designed the content of each event and sourced all the individual activities from our ‘Little Black Book’, which contains the very best suppliers available at the very best rates from around the country. With our unrivalled understanding of what’s new, what’s available and what’s possible, we saved the agency and their client a great deal of time and kept their costs down.
Execution of the eight events were cleverly devised to ensure the highest standards of delivery, whilst keeping client costs to a minimum. Four of our event delivery teams had a Saturday and a Sunday venue each, making up the 8 events. An advance party would arrive on site the day prior to the event day to make the initial preparations, with the main body of staff and suppliers arriving early each morning to set up ready for the afternoon guest arrivals.
